White Ribbon takes home the 2009 Palme Dor at Cannes...



The White Ribbon, an intense tale of fatherly domination dominated the erratic offerings at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, winning the Palme Dor for Director Michael Haneke. The film's narrative was shot in exquistite Black and White and features a narrative concerning National Socialism in a Pre-WWII German Community. In 2001 Haneke won the Cannes Grand Prix for the lighthearted offering The Piano Teacher. Reportedly Sony bought this picture at the Fest....
